I am a New Zealand-based artist, working primarily in cast glass. In 2001 I completed a Bachelor of Design, (Sculpture Major) at the Unitec School of Design in Auckland. I developed an interest in glass following this, receiving my training through working as a technician to New Zealand glass artist Ann Robinson. I began working for Ann in 2002 and have continued this relationship since establishing my own practice.
My work is informed by a wide variety of sources and subjects. I am interested in the history and traditions of craft and decorative art, and in particular how these practices connect to my personal history as a New Zealander of European and Maori (Ngati Raukawa) ancestry.
